Cove Habitat for Crappie in El Dorado Reservoir, Kansas

Here's a fun update from El Dorado Reservoir, Kansas:

Here are some before and after pictures of a small ELDR cove that received some fish habitat work this week.  Cedar and hedge was used to line the shore in combination with some offshore placements.  This small cove has historically provided decent prespawn and spawn crappie opportunities even with minimal habitat.  While the bottom is quite silty, the sloping shorelines contain good rocky substrate.  Both boat and shore anglers will benefit from the added habitat.
