Big lakes’ public fish attractors offer anglers an edge

Where to fish is always a looming question, but on many Kentucky waters, including the vast area fisheries of Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, there are some shortcuts available. At many lakes across the state, including western Kentucky's big sister impoundments, networks of fish attractors are provided for public use.

Because they are huge and attract so much fishing attention, Kentucky and Barkley are leaders in the state in public fish attractors, thanks to efforts of workers with the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources' Western Fisheries District. There are many attractors scattered up and down the Kentucky portions of both the big reservoirs.
