Great Work in Indiana’s Reservoir Habitat Enhancement Program at J. C. Murphy Lake

J.C. Murphy has been drained as part of a dredging and fish renovation project. Earlier this year fish salvages were conducted with the help of local anglers. Since the lake has been drained fish habitat work has started and will continue throughout 2023. So far 12 stake beds covering 10 x 10 ft to 20 x 30 ft, 10 catfish hotels, several catfish nesting holes with 50 more to go, 65 wooden Structures with plans for another 65 and countless shallow water humps and full tress brought into the basin have been created with the help of volunteers.
